I just recieved a Police CO7GP plain edge hollow ground G-10. It looks nothing like my other CO7GP which is flat ground G-10. The hollow ground doesn't have any type of liner just the G-10 scales which look cheap compared to the other G-10 spyderco's that I have. It also has a different style clip. Is this just a older model, a cheap copy or what? The Blade is the only thing that is up to the Spyderco quality that I'm use to.

You still have a good knife there but yes it is an older model of the G-10 Police. Enjoy.

For the rest of us, do the newer models have flat grinds and liners as opposed to hollow ground without liners?
 
Yes the new ones are flat grind and have steel liner. You better pick one up quick they have been discontinued with the g-10 handle
