Hello,

I have the stainless steel police model w/out the serrations, I dont think they are made this way anymore I've had it since 1992, its in great condition. What would be its value today? Is it collectable?

Peace

You can buy a brand new plain edge Police right now for about $100.

They never quit making a PE version of this knife.

The most collectible ones to the best of my knowledge are the early steel ones with 'Pride Integrity Guts' on the blade and the plain edge G-10 and carbon fiber models.

Steel has been upgraded a couple times over the years from the GIN-1 (marked G-2) used in 1992, but the all stainless Police is still made in plain edge. Current street price for a new VG-10 one is around $100. From a collectors standpoint, enough examples of the G-2 version were made over the years it was in production that it is fairly easy to find. I'd say a plain edged one in G-2, in "new, old stock" condition with the appropriate box, would be worth probably $80, tops, to a collector. Interest, and value, would drop significantly if it was used. The only thing that would increase the value would be if it were one of the relatively small number of SS Police which have a lanyard hole.

Thank you for the great information.. It's a great knife and has been my only Spiderco I've ever owned.
