Police with black blade and scales

Did Spyderco ever produce a Police model with a black blade and black steel scales? This knife appears to be a SE ATS-55 pre Boye dent model but is completely black. Not sure if it's a fake or even a aftermarket mod.
 
Probably not fake. However, while it could be factory, it also could be aftermarket. Without a box, there's no way to tell. If there is a box, the printed label should indicate that it is black. If the printed label only says C07S, then the coating was done aftermarket.
