I think the Tanto Sebenza would look even better with a polished, rather than stonewashed, blade finish.
Can I send the Tanto in to CRK for polishing?

Good question. I too just got my tanto sebbie this week and was thinking about sending it back for polishing. I think anything you would want done to a sebenza, Chris Reeve and company would be happy to do. Just call or email and they will provide you with any info you need. I called once to inquire about a sheath and Mr. Reeve himself answered and talked to me for about 20 minutes. He was curious about my ideas, likes and dislikes of his designs. When you contact them, post the results here. Good luck. RW

I too have a tanto Sebenza (and I just got a deal on a small plain Sebenza!) and would be interested in sending it in for a polishing. Does anyone know how much Chris Reeves charges to have this done? Thanks.

I am not sure, but I think the cost is $20.00. They must remove the thumbstud to polish the blade, and I think they only polish the ground portion, not the flat. Take the opportunity to add an ambidextrous thumbstud while it is at the shop, always a nice option. Of course, you should contact the folks at CRK to confirm costs, times, and availability.

I would also like to have the decorated side of the handle polished like regular decorated Sebenzas. The Tanto Sebenza has a "frosted" handle finish that I find to be unevenly applied and a bit unrefined, compared to the exquisite overall lines of this knife. I have e-mailed Anne and to see if this can be done.

I really like the look of the contrast between the polished tip and stonewashed blade of the tanto.
