Polish F/S knock offs???

A long while back in Tactical Knives there was a warning about Polish F/S knock offs being passed off as the real thing. I was wondering if anyone has seen any of these and are they available anywhere.....would perhaps be a cheaper alternative to the current Wilkinson 2-3 inch guard models. Thanks!
