Polish for brass bolsters?

Hi Buck experts,

What's a safe polish to use on the brass bolsters of a Buck knife, 55 and 112 to be specific? Some commercial polishes say specifically not to use brass so they are obviously out. I heard ketchup works but I wanted to ask here first.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks

One more vote for Flitz here. The stuff is amazing on brass. I recommend the paste version. I'm sure the liquid works too, but you would need to be careful to put it on a cloth first and not accidentally pour the stuff into the innards of your knife.

Simichrome
Flitz
Brasso
Green compound on a buffing wheel

All the above I've used for brass. And all will work just fine. Brass is easy for polishing - it kind of begs for it.

The 4-dot 112 below shows the 'before' (1st pic) and also the finished result (2nd & 3rd pics) after I'd used a sequence of sandpaper, then green compound on a buffing wheel (Dremel), then some fingertip & rag polishing with some Simichrome. Did all that to clean up some dinged-up bolsters on that knife, after I'd bought it (secondhand). I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

Forgive me for uttering a four letter word, but "Case" Paste works very well on brass and nickel silver. I've used most of the others mentioned and they all do an equally good job.
