Polish for scales on older 112's

Any particular polish or oils that will bring out the luster of the the wood scales on an older 112?
Not sure of the particular wood but it's a pre 1980(no nail nick) 112.
Wondering if the wood on the older rangers/hunters was meant to shine like the newer ones do, maybe they're as good as they're meant to be.

I use a gun stock wax or linseed oil

It is Macassar ebony and that ^ will work. Even furniture polish and rubbing with a soft clean cloth will give it a shine. DM
