Polishable metal-filled epoxy?

I have to fill some gouges in chrome plated steel. Normally I'd grind, weld, sand/polish. But this work is a bit heat sensitive.

So I'm looking for an epoxy that looks metallic and can be polished. I know there's silver based epoxy but its really expensive.

Products, suggestions, ideas?
