Polished blade dilemma

So I'm wondering how the polished blades hold up to every day use. I recently picked up a large Regular that's in great shape but it has a polished blade instead of the standard stonewashed. I was a bit surprised as I didn't think that polished blades were that common on plain Ti Sebenzas of any variety. No biggie but I'd like to carry it an use it, and not have to worry about the blade getting scratched and beat up to much. Since it's a Regular I'm guessing I can't get the blade refinished at all.

So, anyone out there carry a Sebenza with a polished blade on a day-to-day basis and how is the blade holding up as far a scratches go? Pics would be great. Advice? Use it hard (which really isn't that hard for my needs) or keep it pristine? It's an 07, no grooves on the edge of the slabs, and solid like it should be.

If you cut anything with grit in it (cardboard) (packing tape with dirt under it) . . .
it's going to show abrasion if not down right scratches.

You can always send it to one of the fine craftspeople here to polish it out.

Then there is what is going to happen to it if you slip while sharpening it . . .
I'm just saying.

Have a polished blade on my MM Snakewood inlay...
It holds up Ok- but you will see a scratch more readily in a directional fashion. That means, if the scratch is perpendicular to the pattern..it shows up pretty good. Sorry, I don't have any pics of the knife yet, but I don't really think I have any scratches in it either.

My polished blades all have scratches, and most of those have not come from hard use. This is actually why I much prefer the tumbled blade finish on my Sebenzas.

I have never used a polished blade myself, but this is what a stonewashed blade looks like with a few years daily use, this is from about a year go, it's much worse now,

I can only imagine a polished blade to fair far worse.

but thats why they manufactured these bad oscars in the good ol U S of A in Idaho, to be used right?

Put that polished blade regular in your pocket and don't look back.

I have two large 21s with polished blades, one with micarta inlays and one plain jane. I think they hold up just great. I love them for EDC.

I have had a polished blade for awhile, the scratches don't bother me as much as the ugly stonewash :) I wouldn't own a Sebenza if it wasn't for polished blade and graphic with three colors. Don't buy no ugly knife :)

Scratches are gonna happen if you use the knife. Fact.

But there's a wonderful thing called "The CRK Spa Treatment". Another fact.

Will CRK re-polish a Large Regular blade? Kinda thought they wouldn't really do anything to the blades on the Regulars any longer. Except maybe sharpen.

I can't say for certain concerning polished blades but I would think they'd make your knife look like new. The Spa treatment is much more than just a sharpening service. Send them an email and find out.

I know that they've said they don't re-stonewash blades. I'd think it's the same on the polished versions.

They dont refinish regular blades anymore since they have to remove the thumbstud (s) which has the potential to crack the blade which they dont have stock regular blades to replace them with.
