Polished Blade - Option from CRK?

I purchased a 2006 Sebenza Large with Websight CGG and it came with a polished blade.

I just wanted to make sure that this is an option from CRK because on the card it only said S30V 58-59 and does NOT say polished.

I thought all blades from CRK are stonewashed. Can someone provide more clarifications for me?

Usually the Sebenzas with a CGG also have a polished blades. The regular/plain Sebenzas have the stonewashed finish. I don't believe the birth card normally specifies the blade finish.

So it would appear that your Sebenza came exactly as it should have.
 
My small CCG came with a Satin finish, but made no mention of it on the card. My Small 21 came with a stonewash finish and it also made no mention of it on the card. You are fine, now go and enjoy your benza!!! :thumbup:
 
Look closely and you'll see the flat on the blade is stonewashed, but the main blade is polished. Any graphic design or wood inlay Seb has a polished blade. But you can order whatever you want from them. I've ordered both a polished blade and a damascus blade in a plain handle. I haven't had much interest in the graphics or the woods as of yet, with the exception of the Mnandi.

Didn't know the standard because I really wanted the Large Web-sight in the stone washed instead of polished.

Send the Seb to CRK to get the blade tumbled. I know they will do it. Heather offered it to me.
 
I called CRK and asked them if they can tumble the blade and their answer is that since it is CGG, it is CRK policy not to put a tumble blade on it. They will not tumble my blade nor will they sell and put on a tumble blade for me. They will sell me a tumble blade and if I choose to put it on myself I can.

Not a big deal but I wanted CRK to do the service for me so that I know it is properly done.

Maybe you should order a plain top slab as a spare part, then stick it on and send the knife in that way to have the new blade fit. Then you'd have four different levels of dress to choose from.

What? They won't tumble it because it's a graphic knife??? That's stupid. There must be a good reason though.

Good idea. Either do this or buy the second blade.
