any differences in the 2 blade types other than aesthetics? any difference in corrosion resisitance? thanks.

If you consider what processes take place to come up with the end result, you will realize that there really is no difference other then finishing. I personally prefer the satin finish. But, if you are using the stonewash finish, you really can't see scratches caused by heavy use.

I can't imagine any difference in corrosion resistance between the two finishes. They are both the same steel.

I prefer the look of the polished hollow and the contrast against the stonewashed flats...but it really does show fingerprints and dirt -- if that matters to you.

I've asked Anne this question a long time ago and the answer was that they were the same.
