I have been trying out some budget blades so I can have decent knives for gifting friends who aren't yet into knives fully. So, I get this bare over 40 dollar Ruike P-135 and was surprised it came with a very sharp polished edge. It's all steel handle no insert of course on the lockbar. Has the safety to keep the lock from opening during hard use also acts as a over travel stop in use or not, steel bearings flips very well. A bit heavy at under 6 oz. but all in all a great deal for 42 bucks shipped. The edge is something I would love to see out of the box on even my high dollar knives!

Ruike knives are not to be underestimated. They are very impressive especially at the price point. I bought one about a month and a half ago and it has become one of my favorites.

looks good for that price point.....very nice gift to give friends. I'll be your friend Jill.........:)

Great ! Even got a safety for "spine whacking " . Just kidding ! ;)

I don't look at frame locks very much . This is the first such safety I've seen . Cool idea .

Most framelocks I've tried whacking held up very well. A couple of very cheap ones I hit very hard with no failings. I'm not going to beat on the spines of my high dollar knives anyway.

I use my knives and have no issues with sharpening them, so it's not really a big thing, but it's always disappointing when I receive an expensive knife that's not sharp enough for me to be happy carrying it.

Precious few of them have shown up with a screaming sharp polished edge, and the ones that have stand out in my memory even after they've long since been used and re-sharpened. My Medford 187 RMP is a goofy little folding pocket brick but it came with the sharpest (and polished) edge of any knife I've ever purchased.

If I was making knives and charging folks $500+ for knives, I'd want them to arrive sharp as heck but I've received customs that were poorly sharpened, and more than once.
