Post up your polished Sebenza edges!

I thought about doing this in the maintenance forum, but I only want to see Sebenza's.

Using my DMT alligner, even though I took too much metal off and made the bevel too wide, I can get my Sebenza sharp. What I can't get is a nice mirrored polished edge.

I wish there was an easy kit I could buy that had everything I needed to take my Sebenza from dull to polished factory sharp...any suggestions? I don't have time to go chasing down a bunch of different solutions and working them to fit my situation. I wish I could just find an all inclusive doo-hicky to do it all!

I thought about getting a Wicked Edge sharpener, but yikes its expensive!

I do all my sharpenig on my bader belt grinder and I finish them off with a buffing belt and compound. But if you cant do that finish off with leather and compound or ceramic stone and compound. With the bader I can do a knife in about a 2 min from dull as a rock to shaving razor sharp.

This was 5 min ago I will sharpen it in the morning when I get home and repost

All done on lansky, then a lansky turn box kit for microbevel and then I maintain through stropping on 1200grit and leather.

I just use an old sears 1hp 1 x 42" belt sander that I got at a garage sale for $30. It works perfectly fine for sharpening my knives and doesn't take long at all. For a knife that already has a bevel I like, I usually start at 400 grit and so a couple of passes. Then I go to 900 grit and then to a leather belt with green compound. This polishes up the edge real nice. Though it does take s30v longer to get a real mirror polish then other steels (such as bucks 420HC, infi steel, or 1095).

yeah I have a belt, but maybe I need some polish...

Keep posting em up! Non factory polishes!
