Can someone explain to me how I might go about doing this? I just got a Caly 3.5 Carbon Fiber, and I noticed a few small scratches on the wide side of the blade... is it possible to polish them out? It doesn't matter too much as I plan to use the knife fairly regularly, and I don't keep 'safe queens', but I thought it'd be good to know.

sandpaper or a tumbler with walnut shells and blue magic or turtle wax liquid car polish

420J2 steel is fairly soft and easy to polish by hand. If it's going to be a user save yourself the trouble and don't worry about it.

I started doing this, but then couldn't ever quite match the factory finish. So I ended up polishing the whole blade...then convexing the edge...then matched it all up and rounded the spine!

You can try matching it with sandpaper, but you could end up with it looking worse, or making your own finish like me!
