For some reason I get a lot of satisfaction out of taking something that sucks and trying to improve its performance. My buddy gives me a hard time about my goofy custom jobs (I have a variety of Frankenstein-ed wallhangers and cheap modded machetes) and was insisting the only real difference was pretty much cosmetic (and honestly they usually turn out uglier looking) I defensively insisted that while they may be goofy and amateurish, they definitely worked better than they did in their previous incarnation. I couldn't adequately explain to him about how something can be sharp but still have a crap edge, because all I really understand about edge geometry is what I learned from watching episodes of Forged In Fire, so I made this video to demonstrate it.
