The anodized blue color on a set of titanium screws is knid of worn. I wonder what is the best method to remove the blue and also polish the screws. Will extra fine steel wool do the job? Please advise. Thx.

The 0000 steel wool might not take the anodizing off. Hit it with a fine abrasive buff on a dremel to remove the anodized layer, then polish it. Then you can reanodize it.

A loose cotton wheel with some green compound if you have a dremel tool would do it. Try some 0000 steel wool or a Scotch Brite pad but it won't polish it. You can also use Whink rust and stain remover. About $3 -$4 a bottle. Caution: Whink has hydroflouric acid, it is very dangerous to get on your skin. Wear gloves and eye protection.

I did not think about green compound. Good idea. The Scotchbrite pad will definitely take the anodizing off, but it is more coarse than a fine dremel abrasive buff, which will do the job very well and not leave a many scratches. That Scotchbrite pad on a drill attachment is very good at putting an orange peel finish on titanium handles, though.
