Hi all.., Pete Johnston from So California. I'm a long time Bali-Guy, a veteran reader of the Forums, but new to "Posting". I have a bunch of BM 42 models, and wanted to take a crack at buffing out the handles on one I have with a Ray Coons damascus blade (profiled by Pardy Bugtai). Ok...sooooo..., I'm guessing some of you are handy at this stuff, and I was hoping for a few tips on the best way to go about it. I have disassembled 6 or 7 of the 42's so I'm OK in that respect, but was wondering about "the process"???
I was thinking of approaching it by using something like white rouge on an 8" buffing wheel for the body of the handles and then doing the holes with my Dremmel buffing kit?? <rather than the 400, 800, 1000 grit approach> YUCK!!....I'm old
Any thoughts/suggestions, etc. would be appreciated greatly. I'm thinking some of you guys have probably taken a crack at this.., and I have seen one set of the Ti-Handles that looked very cool buffed out.
Anyway..., I'll try to contribute what I can in the future, although you guys are certainly in good hands "as is"....thanks!
