Recently I got a c50 centofante in g-10. I like everything about it except one thing. It has some coarse finish on the edge of the handle so...what's best to fix that? I thought a fine sand paper would do it right...just not so confident. Anyone who has experience with it?
thanks.

g-10 is nasty stuff to work with. I make knives as a hobby and I wear a respirator and cover up pretty good when workign with most knife making materials.

If you just want to "kill the edges" of the g-10, get some wet/dry sandpaper (320 grit, or 400), cover your mouth somehow (dental mask, bandana, whatever), and sand the piece while it is under a running tap. Or, fill a sink and sand under the water. You don't want to breathe in fiberglass dust.

To chamfer the edges as you want, put the paper on a pice of wood or metal or whatever that is flat. I use a micarta block. Just wrap the paper around something flat, and sand under the water. It should only take a couple of minutes to smooth out the edges.

I've rounded, smoothed, and polished the edges on the G-10 scales of my knives for quite awhile now. I start with a small Swiss file to knock the edge off, from there I go to 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper (dry), and finish with 600 or 1000 grit, depending if I want the edge to shine or not. I don't use water, or wear a respirator as I work slow and don't create a dust-cloud.
