Hello all!

I have several CRK knives that have polished frames, and some have gotten scratched over the years. CRK doesn't polish inlay knives, so I would like to give it a try. I was going to carefully tape the inlay and then polish from there. That leads to my questions:
Anyone tried this before?
If so what polish and how did you apply and remove it?

Thanks for any help!!

I believe the Ti is hand sanded to a 600 finish rather than "polished". I would not bother attempting to sand or polish round the inlays as you will not get the results you want. It will be very hard to get a uniform finish on the Ti with the inlays in place. You could remove the inlays and just hand sand it to 600 as they do at CRK but if you are not confident about doing that I would just leave it be. It's all too easy to damage, crack or break the inlays, not to mention the obvious loss of warranty issue. :)

This is what I was worried about! I was hoping someone else had tried it and I could follow. I don't want to blaze a trail on this one..... Thanks for the response!
