polishing/modding lock faces? help

Looking for threads with info on polishing lock bar faces to make action smoother,,,more specifically will be done on a CS TRI-Ad lock.

That would be a bad idea. It would only compromise the lock.
 
take it apart, clean it, look for obvious burrs to remove -- but if you change the geometry of the lockbar by polishing, including rounding any crisp edges, you will risk reducing the integrity of the locking mechanism.
 
You can radius the edge of the spring and polish where the spring contacts. It helps a little. Or you can leave the knife half way open to distress the spring.
 
Not intimately familiar with Triads but polishing won't immediately solve the problem. Assuming the lock face is titanium then the softer Ti will always deform with pressure from the steel. Did you try pencil graphite where the faces meet? Like I say, Triads aren't my thing and I could be way off base.

Way off base. The tri-ad is a strong back lock.
