Looking for some help polishing some Mike Sakmar slanted ladder pattern Mokume. It is Copper and Nickel Silver. I picked up some bolster material at the Las Vegas show in January. I would like to put a high gloss polish finish on the bolsters. I brought it to 600 grit finish and buffed it with Kovals large bar green rouge with a sewn buffing wheel. The finish is good except for the fact that there is very fine hair like scratches in the finish. The type that you would get by maybe cleaning it with a corse rag or towel. It there any way to get rid of these all together or do you just have to live with it since it is softer material? Thanks in advance.

I believe you have to take it to 1500 grit, wet. Lemme know if I'm wrong, or how it works out.
