Polishing Nickel Silver Guards

Hi Guys,

I have a couple of questions on maintenance -

I have sanded down a stag handle to obtain a better grip and in the course of doing so I have gone through the masking I put on the nickel silver guard - just on the edge and need to plosh out the slight scratch to the edge.

How and what is the best technique to restore the mirror finish?

I was thinking of a dremmel with the cotton wool polishing fitment but would query what is the best compound to restore the finish?

If I am off beam - please advise on best technique?

Also, what is the best way to finish off the handle now that it is sanded?

I don't want to make any more mistakes!

Many thanks:)

The best method is to use green compound on an 8" loose muslin wheel at 1750 RPM. It will work on the stag and nickel silver.
Your Dremel with red rouge might work.
