I have recently had some issues with this matter so I have some advice. Just like a previous post said, as long as you don't take any material off the edges or actually remove any material (not the sand blast) you should be ok. I sent in a Large Regular and for some reason the previous owner polished the entire thing, and he did a wickedly crappy job at it as well. So I sent it in and even called ahead and spoke to Angela and they had no issues with re-blasting it for me. I think its how you approach them and if you are polite and just explain what happened they are really great about things.
Like usual, CRK has the best customer service known to man. I have sent in at least 25 knives/Mnandis to them, some with some major issues and each and everytime they have done exactly what I asked and not only that but usually only charge for return shipping. As far as customer service and warranty work goes, the are top notch.
*True story- I bought a Mammoth Bark Mnandi when i lived in Fairbanks, Alaska. I moved to Colorado Springs where the elevation is near a mile high. I had the Mnandi out and all of s sudden one of the corners chipped off. I went ballistic. I never carried this Mnandi and it was strictly a collector and I thought I was done. I called them, told them what had happened, sent in the knife, had it back with a totally new Mammoth Bark scale in 8 days and all I had to pay was return shipping. AND they explained how changes in elevation/climate can wreck havoc on natural inlays...like Mammoth Bark. It just doesn't get any better than that. It really doesn't. I was so happy AND the new inlay was even nicer than the previous one that I sent in.
Most places would just say, "Your shit outta luck" but CRK has the best customer support and I have not heard a single "bad" experience from them as of yet. Thank you CRK for not only making a killer product but having the best customer service that a person could possibly ask for.
