Do you mean polish or buff??? I polish with Nevr-Dull, but buff with White Rouge (grease based), on a 6" sewn 3/4" thick muslin wheel...the buffing removes scratches, the polish just removes tarnish...

Welcome to the forum Barney,

Brasso is also used a lot here. Goes back to the army days and polishing brass every day.

One thing with Brasso, use a soft cloth and light strokes if you are just doing tarnish. If you have deeper scratching, use terrycloth and more pressure and it will take as much out as you want to work on it. But when doing deeper scratches, I always finish off with lighter strokes with the softer cloth.

Buy Brasso in as small a can as you can find. I bought an 8oz can a couple years ago and still half full or more.

Well Barny,

I use a piece of Luster Lace. Its like a tennis shoe lace impregnated with some kind of polish. I use the laces on my spokes on my Harley. Comes in a plastic can with ten or so laces. Great stuff! :D :D www.lusterlace.com

Well, let me reword some of it. It it has more of finger print smudges, than tarnish or scratches.

I also use NEVR-DULL. It was recommended by people here and after trying it I really like it. I got it at a local drug store for about $5.

Mother's Mag Wheel and Aluminum polish works great on mine. If I've got more serious polishing to do, I use red rouge and a buffing wheel on my bench grinder.

I don't polish mine.

I might feel differently if I had a nice custom shoppe jobbe, though.

For fingerprints shirt or silicone cloth, for light scratches and tarnish soft cloth with a tiny dab of happich simicrome polish (sp)works great for me.
