hello knife nuts!
I gonna try and polish the washers on my spyderco tenacious, just for fun to see if I can make it any smoother than it already is. Is 2000 grit sandpaper enough for something like this or would I need finer sandpaper?

2000 grit is enough to polish them, but be careful. They thin down very fast. Also, make sure you polish them as flat as possible. I've bent some before and actually made the action worse.

Got a Sharpmaker? Polish them up on the fine stone flats. I did a set on my Military and worked well.

Flatness is more important than finish. Having the washers perfectly mated in terms of flatness to the blade will allow your lubricant to form a cushioning oil film that will make it operate smoother.
