Politically Correct user name?

:) I just joined this forum today. I am a thirty nine year old collector and user of all types of knives. I also collect guns and as in my choice of collections they are often referred to as Evil or dark items. I often hear the AR15 referred to as an evil black gun. Hence the name I came up with when the first twenty were already taken. It was an after thought that with all the bad press about knife names and the post I read here that maybe my user name would be misunderstood or inappropriate. If this is the case please let me know and I would be glad to change it. I think this is a great site and will eventually upgrade my subscription so it would be great to get the feedback from the regular user. Thanks! :confused:
 
Evil Steel , no need to be politically correct on this forum.
As far as i am concerned we are all outlaws and subscribe to the theory that common sense rules.
Most lawmakers are wimps pimping to the winds of the the sheeple.
I love the freedom of expression this forum provides and the wealth of knowledge that us knife fanatics enjoy.

Reputation is more highly thought of. Call yourself what you want and if you feel the need to explain just put something to that affect in your profile. This forum is pretty liberal. Funny that it took so many tries to get a screen name. I got the first one I typed in. I thought afterward that I should have come up with something more original and clever than my initials but it was too late and I sign the knives I make STR anyways so it stuck.

I would say that whomever says these things is an ignoramous.

I dont think any tool or weapon can be evil(or any inanimate object). they could be used for evil purposes(as almost any thing could be), but only a person can be evil.

The same idiots often think that knives are evil as well.
There is no such thing as evil steel. Steel is a great blessing.

But It is just a name- It means nothing really. One username is as good as another. :D

Also, i'll back up Digdeep, etc to the hilt. Use whatever name you like, as long as it's not illegal. If it ever comes to a point where our usernames make the headlines, we are truly beaten !

On a relevant side note. Without doing his homework, I had a fellow on a flyfishing forum publically post and try to roast me about my so called disgusting support of the use of fishing with Salmon roe {eggs}. They were banned as a bait, in his home waters. He said I was a disgrace publically supporting an illegal and immoral activity, he nearly occused me of wiping out the Atlantic Salmon species. This was because of my username Roefisher.

When I explained that my name came from the River Roe, which I lived beside and not eggs, we was never heard from again.....the idiot

Thanks Guys, :D I'm glad to hear all the talk about free speech and less need to worry if one is always using the current accepted terms. We need to spend more time embracing what we love an less time faulting others for what they love. I would hope that most people apply to the common sense rules but we all know there is nothing common about sense. I look forward to many good experiences on this fourm. Thanks to all who replied :cool:

Not only am I redundant & superfluous, but I also tend to use more words than necessary. :)

Welcome, Now that you got the name thing out of the way, you can see how informative the forum is and how helpful the members are. I'm also relatively new here and am constantly amazed at what I find. It's also comforting to know there are many other knife nuts out there like me. If you listen to the mainstream press and public brainwashing, you would soon start to scare yourself.

One manufacturer, I don't remeber which one, calls its version of the AR-15 the "PC Rifle" because it complies with the "politically correct" regulations for such rifles.:D
