Just ask my wife! I spend too much on knives - time and money. I upgraded to DSL just becasue of bladeforums.

Sometimes I buy two duplicate knives (or more) at the same time - one to use and one to admire.

My room is littered with folders, delivery boxes, popcorn, and....knives. All kinds - production (why do I need 5 AFCKs???), custom (everyone should have 5 Sebenzas), neck knives, camp knives, and too many tacticals - at least one for every felon within 50 miles!

Then, there are my knife magazines (all saved) and videos.....

Warm Regards

Not many replies... strange. I think it is because we all are. Otherwise, we wouldn't spend our time here.

I plead guilty. If I really like the design of a particular knife, I will buy both the plain and serrated versions.

Sounds like I have this terrible disease. Hope there is not cure for it. Now I am trying to figure how to carry more of my favorites on me all at the same time.

akula57,
I see you have five Sebenza’s which is certainly evidence of your success in dealing with your wife about your (our shared) disease.

I’m going this month for a new Umfaan. Tonight I’m trying the, “ Dear, if I get the Umfaan here in the middle of October, that will mean you don’t have to get me any BIG presents this Christmas.” What do you think?

or

We could get KIS recognized as a disease by the AMA. Maybe there is some type of gov’t assistance program to help us with the treatment…..getting more knives.

Hey... which of you guys is spying on me? That was a pretty close description.

Oh well, off to pick up some spilled pop corn...

Comrade Change, et al,

I think many are single and young - still saving for their dream knives.

How do I placate my wife - I tell her they are cheaper than watches (my other love). Also, I keep them "safe" (and HIDDEN in a big gun safe).

If I could only sell her on buying a gun for target practice...... ;-)

Warm Regards
