Just curious how many people would buy an all black titanium Military if it was offered?
I know I would, I have an old Cutlery Shoppe catalog and Tactical Knives mag. and I always thought it looked too cool

Sal how about a special run like of black Military's like Ironstone did with the black steel Police model last year, please.

I used to love the black look of my BM Emerson a few years ago. Then I got tired of the lousy eronomics of the handle (too chunky and thick)also the blade's lack of belly and being ground so thick soured me on it.
So my local gun/knife store gave me $60.00 in trade for a regular Military. I loved it, thought it was everthing the Emerson was hyped to be but wasn't. Too bad some bastard at work stole it (can't prove it though) but I will by another one soon.

Sal the #1 thing I like about Spyderco's is that they are thin in your pocket. Less wear and tear on your pant's and you forget it's even on you.

Not sure I'd buy a black Ti Military but I'd be tempted by

A Smaller Military
A G-10 Police handle with a Military blade, giving lots of blade with a "safe" lock.

I for one would not.

I much prefer G10 to metal.

If Sal could do a run of 100 militaries with black blades and G10 handles I think he would be apt to sell them very quickly even though I can see no advantages over the standard Military. I guess if you were a super secret commando-type dude you could sneak up on someone in the dark easier!

The King of Sweden was out hunting in the woods with one of his assistants. As they looked around suddenly there appeared in the clearing another man. The King raised his rifle. The man shouted "I'm not a moose!" The King fired a shot and killed the man. Stunned, the assistant said, "Sire, he said, 'I'm not a moose.'" "Oh" said the King, "I thought he said, 'I am a moose.'"

Haven' t done much sentry removal myself lately. But kidding aside, Weapon: are you suggesting a Ti blade or Ti scales? I' m not 100% sure if there is a big difference in their manufacturing and treating process but I believe that the successful application of a black coat on scales is rather difficult. I recall this in a past thread. On the other side, Ti can be beautifully anodized if performed correctly but I not sure if a solid black color can be achieved.

Oh yes, I would buy a G10 version with a properly done black blade!

FYI Spyderco did offer a black bladed Military in its early models.

titanium blade finish in black and g-10 scales? I sure would buy one. It is the only coating I can stomach because it is tough. Also has a higher rockwell rating than the blade. No teflon coatings though. They look like crap after moderate use.

The G-10 handles would be preferable over the steel scales(less weight, better grip). Have no desire to be a commando but I do like black as color. Glad to see they are coming out with black clips though.

Sometimes you don't want to advertise "hey I have a big knife in my pocket" it scares the PC & sheeple crowd. I know I had a part-time job with Pizza Hut.An assistant supervisor saw the chrome clip & said she would have to report it to the manager. Luckly she forgot and I switched to a plactic clip Endura. Which blended right with my black pants, oh by the way she was later fired for having a felony on her record for writing bad checks.

Also several other pizza chains, drivers have been mugged recently. One had a gun a put to his head and was beat with a stick by BG's buddy. Luckly I retired when it started to get cold here.
