Ok, I've noticed that practically everyone here has at least one of these two knives so I want to know what everyone thinks. As for me, I saw the TDI at a local, but intense knife store about a month ago and snatched it up almost as an impulse buy (it's pretty inexpensive). I friggin' love it. it makes a whole new knife out of them. I just clip it to my pocket and it's good to go and ready at hand at a comfortable height to draw without having to look for it. I can also put a larger BK on my belt right behind it for a good and handy combo.

here's a pic of it from a few weeks back, clip installed.

I know that some use the "DerekH method" of securing it to a larger sheath (usually the BK2's); and that it's designed as a neck knife. And that it could also, conceivably fit in a pocket. There's lots of choices on how to pack them.

So, My question is this: Who here carries the BK-11 and/or the BK-14 with the TDI clip? If so, why. If not, how do you carry yours and why do you prefer that to another method.

I'm really hoping everyone able will post in on this and we can all get a few ideas about the different ways to keep these "little guys" as handy as possible.

I use just a loop of paracord through the top hole, tie it off on the belt, and drop it in my pocket.

It carries just like a clipped folder.

I have a TDI clip on my BK14. It works well, but I find it adds bulk on an otherwise thin setup. I usually do the paracord loop thing, and go IWB.

Tdi clip is a nice option. I actually have 2 (soon to be 3 with a goose52 setup) sheaths. One with the clip, one with cord for a necker carry. If I can't use the clip, the necker setup still slips into my pocket.

I usually just put a 14 in my pocket, though on occasion I will lash it with paracord to my belt. I have considered putting the belt loop from a TDI on it.

I haven't seen them sold separately, but they come on the TDI's.

I've never even thought about the paracord loop like moose and slapper said, sounds both easy and handy. And that is the point here to learn more options on how to carry these necker-class knives.

Great stuff everyone! now let's keep it coming.

I just bought one of these off the bay yesterday. Got a BK11 about a month ago and I have taken it in and out of the sheath about 100 times opening beers. It loosened up some but not bad. Then the other day I got some micarta handles for it. I slapped em on and was doing some work in the garage, I jumped down off of something onto the ground and I heard this clang. Seems that the loosened sheath with the weight of the handles made the knife deploy from around my neck and hit the ground. Since I really don't like neck carry with the blade up, I figured I would pull the trigger on the clip. I think it will work out nicely. Plus, I carry knives at work and I can conceal a bit better on my waist band.

I've melted paracord through the holes for the clip on my BK14. Tight and secure and sits very low profile against my belt. About as cheap as you can get for a secure belt attachment.

Just got the tdi clip..... works great... Carry it on my hip.... toward the rear end.... very comfy....easy access

I have 2 pieces of paracord on mine, exactly the opposite of FCFER, for a horizontal carry crossdraw. Works excellent.

Yeah, I tried that too. Just didnt like the horizontal feeling. I couldnt find a spot on my waistline that felt natural and didnt poke out through my shirt. I think my body geometry just wouldnt let me carry comfortably. Too round!!

I carry my 14 in my pocket. I put a "ranger band" around it and put 2 aa batteries in the band. the batteries are extra for my mini maglite led that i carry on my belt.
