Do you save the boxes your knives came in? Does it add to resale value? Are they as collectable as the knives?

Inquiring minds want to know!

I had no idea so I just looked it up...
There are vintage boxes of CS knives being sold on e-bay, 10-30€ mostly.

I keep all boxes as well as receipt in case I either want to sell the knife (yes, it helps) or if something happens and I want to claim my warranty.
Now that I know the boxes themelf are worth something I'll definitley keep them.

If it was a cheap beater blade probably one of the first things would to toss the box and all.Something with no really resale value but I always keep the boxes. More so that I hear some for only the box.

Not many things that don't sell better with the OEM Box is what have found over the years. There is a lot of times information only found on the box too. I come from an era of pre-blister packs though.

I always keep the boxes even for users, and always try to buy old/vintage/discontinued knives that have the box too...just makes it more "complete" for the collection. The boxes can also make them easier to store, while keeping them protected.

The only ones I keep boxes for are the ones I have extras of or ones that really will never get carried like the Kris Ti Lite.

When talking about boxes...

There is a picture of tiger on the box of my Warcraft Tanto. And it also says "Protect the tiger". What does that mean?

And my Drop Forged Hunter and Recon Tanto boxes look different from it.
Is it possible that I got the older box? When I googled I found pics of that same box, usually posted several years ago. And some pics with different box (looking more like ones of my Drop Forged Hunter and Recon Tanto) posted more recently.
There is also a thread on this forum about Warcraft Tanto created in 2013 by Mike Sastre where the box looks indentical to mine.

The box with the "Protect the tiger" is older than the "Anytime Anywhere" box. As for what it means - I think, but I am not sure, it has to do with conservation in general and protecting the tiger species - specifically ?

The box also many times has pertinent information on the contents not easily available otherwise.
