Okay, this time I won't forget the poll :o. Now, what is your all time favorite Emerson and why?

If it didn't fit, I'm sorry. Only 10 things could fit, so if you like one of the "7" models that isn't listed just pick one and explain about it. There's about 4 of those models alone.

My favorite is the Emerson Commander. First and only Emerson knife, but it won't be my last. The summer is when I go knife crazy cause that's when I start working (full time student).

I chose the HD-7 cause you didn't have the SOCFK-B. I like them both the same though so its fine. Frame locks rule.

CQC-12

Pros..Smooth action
Framelock
Made in USA

Cons..Too expensive

CQC-13. "Pocket" bowie for when I don't want a sheath dangling while I walk and may need a big knife. Blade hand ground by Ernie...won't let this one go.

First Emerson was a CQC-7B & the HD-7 is just a further evolution of it. As such I picked the HD-7. I just love the ergonomics of the CQC-7, so adding a framelock just makes it that much better to me.

10-4! Halfneck. I wanted a SD, EDC and the chisel ground, "evolved" HD-7 was the obvious choice. The Krein Grind gave the blade a true chisel grind.

For me the 12 with out a doubt, but i think the La Griffe should be in there and probably the Persian too.

Gotta be the Commie. Hopefully there will be a framelock version of the Commander.

Beefy recurve=lots slashing fun, penetrating ability isn't as good as the 7 or 12, but IF you stab hard enough... :p

the '12 is my favorite production, frame lock, almost a std "v" grind, thin & easy to carry, nothing to not like lol, some other favs are the SOCFK, P-Tac, I&I tanto & the '8.

my favorite custom is the CQC6 followed by the CQC13,

I've got to go with the CQC-13... at work or in the bush, it's always in my pocket!

Runner-up would be the CQC-8. I've got one that's dressed and skinned over 10 blacktails and 3 bears (so far)... Hmmm havn't got moose blood on it yet; may need to look into that.

CQC12 "Comrade" - love the AK47 bayonet blade shape, awesome Titanium slab handle and frame lock. overall feel is outstanding.

i really like my 14, so does everyone who sees it.

the only "complaint" is its biggest selling point - it feels really big carrying it, and sometimes i opt for a slimmer knife (leek or delica).
