there is already a thread that covers the same topic, but i thought a poll would be interesting.....

just mark what you actually scored...you can mark more than one choice.....i'll start it off....i got a FSHSE and a SFNOSE.....

don't worry, the poll is private, so for you stealthhogs, your score will be kept confidential....i'm only interested in total numbers....

thanks for participating!!!!

by the way i realize that a lot of folks got multiples of the same blades, so that would screw up the numbers, but i can't think of a better way.....

well, there is one solution, but it's more trouble than it's worth....for example, if you scored 3 FSHSE's you could check the box for the FSHSE, and create two more accounts and vote two more times for the fshse.....like i said, more trouble than it's worth.....

I got the CG Sars because I figured I could strip and convex a CG easy enough. I would have bought the CE if they had been cheaper. I thought they would go for less than the CG. I know they have a nice convex edge but I still can't figure out why they didn't go for less. When the original concept came out I was under the impression that they would also be less expensive since there is clearly less work involved. I am currently beating one of mine to death and convexing it as I go, so I am part way to a CE anyway. Plus, I think the black linen micarta is much nicer looking than the canvas. There is a lot more dimension with the linen. That being said, I sure would like to beat on a CE.

While the effort spent doing the basic prep for and finishing the CG blades is probably not comparable to the effort to put the Competition Edge on the CE models, the level of skill required might make it near an even trade. Those of us who are, like Jerry, "hand sharpening challenged" are happy to get the convex "Competition Edge" straight from the factory. However, I can see folks like BAN and GRINDUCCI not being as wildly enthused. Just be happy that you can get these models direct from Busse and, for the Hell Razor at least, at the same price that I paid more than 2 years ago.

From piglett to Pig!

2 pieces of INFI in the last two weeks, also add 2 Swamp Rats, and 3 pieces of INFI scored in the 'ganza!!!

I'm definitely starting to show HOG tendencies as I am plotting and planning and trying to calculate the next score! :D

Amy-0 rocks!!! I have a black SARsquatch, Comp SARsquatch, and Comp Hell Razor coming from the 'ganza!

NO regrets!

very true, the ganza prices were insanely cheap....

it is very likely that the prices will double on the secondary market in about a week or two after they are mailed out.....

$287 for a hell razor??? forget about it!!!!

for example, people bought the sarsquatch from blade at $287(correct me if i wrong), and literally a day later were selling them at right around $370....

if the value appreciates by 40% in 1 day, imagine how valuable they will be in the long run....

it's just too bad i missed out on the hell razor, because if i want one, i will probably have to pay at least $400....

I hope you are right because I now have 2 Squatchs. But if enough of them are made (like the Miliganza ADs and Meaners for example) they won't appreciate for some time. As a matter of fact, the most you'd probably see them sell for was right after blade and before this most recent ganza because there were so few in circulation.

i'm very surprised that hardly anyone has bought the SE blades.....

i thought people would covet the FSH and the SFNO......

the secondary market prices for these two blades usually reach ridiculous levels, and i thought people would jump at the chance to buy them at retail cost.....especially when they are special editions.....

really baffling....am i missing something here????

Just got in and checked my email.... Looks like I scored my CG Jack Hammer

I suspect that most who both wanted and could afford the SEs got them at Blade with the rest scoring at the ganza. Of course, perhaps not all who scored noted their buys in the poll. Maybe Jerry didn't have many left from Blade. And there is always the possibility that the slow economy may have deterred a few potential buyers.
If $ were no object, I'd probably want at least 2 of everything but that's not the case for me and probably for most of us here as well. While I'm sure that I'll regret not getting a CE Jackhammer, I felt that the black SARSQ, CE SARSQ, and CE HR were pushing it for me for one month, never mind those beautiful SEs. Can't afford them all so, gotta pick and choose and live with it. Pete

I love this thread. Now I know who has what and who I will have to stalk in the not so distant future. :D Keep'em coming. ;)

only one problem.....the poll is set to private......;)

I have mad hacking skills! (yeah right :p)

But if I had been in town I'd have gone for a comp HR or JH! From the poll results it looks like the comps were the most sought after this time around.

the low numbers for the FBM and ASH are understandable.....the market has been flooded with ASHes and BM's.......

A minor point as to the cost of the ganza CE HR. Took a while for it to occur to me but what we've actually traded the finish for is not only the Competition Edge but also the CE HRs appear to come with MAGNUM slabs. According to the Busse archive, when Hell Razors were first offered back in late '05 the basic HR was $287 and magnum canvas micarta handle slabs were an extra $35. The ganza Razors have been great deals. We even got "free" magnum G-10 slabs with the Razorganza HRs as they sold for $287 as well. Pete
