Past or present what is your favorite Bladeforums forum category and/or your favorite thread.

While I don't have a particular favorite category, I do spend most of my time in the General Discussion Forum.
My favorite thread(s) are those about the Sebenza and the Military, but my interests are now moving toward fixed blades so others may soon follow.

How about you....?

The good old "Sebenza Vs. the World" thread, just can't get enough.

Hello James, I figured you of all people would pitch in your vote for the "Mighty 'Benz".

Good to see you.

Anything on Sebenzas or Umfaans.

Those are the knives I've settled on, and like a lot of other people I think they are the best, especially for my uses.

It's great that my 200th post is about Sebenzas

Since VG became co-moderator of the community forum he toned down his posts somewhat. It is still a fun place to hang out though. I spend equal amounts of time in the Blade Discussion Forum, Community Forum and Political Arena.

When my BP gets too low I check out a B**** vs. M** D** thread. The Sebenza threads are fun too. I miss the "What is the best knife for (insert latest monster here)" threads. We need a "What is the best knife for the Battle in Seattle" thread

My fav is Shop Talk, sometimes I ignore all the rest and just read that.

Actually not "read": I think "study" is a better one

My favorite Forum is probably the Shop Talk one, followed by the General Blade Forum in quick succession. The Shop Talk is so cool because you can get near instantaneous information! It's really a special resource. I like the main forum because of variety. Obviously, with my posting volume, I like to jump in on lots of subjects!

Ummm...what was I going to say...oh! Favorite thread would probably be the Kysa one for several reasons...first was the pure controversy of it and the heat of debate. I miss that from time to time! Also, when it finally came out that the whole thing was a hoax, most of the guys who were staunch defenders came forth with apologies and everyone was pretty gracious. A good situation that could've turned really bad.
I also like the Mad Dog threads, because of the entertainment value. The guy has more people trying to break him down, yet he remains fairly successful. Psychologically very interesting.

...one of the best threads in a long time was Ken Onion's dealing with the question of custom makers using modern technology in making their knives.... great stuff!

#1 Knives for Sale:Individual
#2 Spyderco Forum (during the Danelle era)
#3 Blade Discussion Forum

I have no favorite thread, per se. The whole Kysa phenomena was impressive for it`s scope and impact on the forum. Maybe I`m just a jaded old SOB, but I don`t believe that the WWF, WCW or Kysa is real, but they sure are fun to watch sometimes.

I like the Custom forum a whole lot. But I like hanging out in the general and community forums too. I've really enjoyed some of the more humorous threads recently, like Uncle Bill's snipe hunt (hear it turned out well), and reading all those sad stories about knife and forum addictions. The occaisional theological debates that break out from time to time are really a lot of fun. I heard God was hanging out here. Anybody know which One of us is him (her)?

God used the forum name "God." He hasn't posted for quite a while ... some people believe God is dead.

The Knife Gods, on the other hand ... Thomas Wilkinson, a notorious troll on rec.knives, has been arguing for years the reason no one pays any attention to anything he posts is because he isn't a "Knife God" like (insert current list here ... the pantheon varies in membership from time to time. Most of the Knife Gods are well-known makers, but some of them are just random people whom Wilkinson feels get more respect on the net than he does, and many well-known makers have not been deified ... at least, not yet.) Well, you can't expect him to admit the reason no one listens to him is because he's an idiot....

My tastes have changed in the last year except for the Knife Exchange area, I always go there first. I've don't go much into the tactical area anymore but now the Spyderco, HI, and now GH forums.

Then the Gen area looking here first then Knife Reviews and the Custom Makers zone.
I basically like product reviews and bargains.

I like the general forums as well as the reviews. I especially appreciate Cliff Stamps reviews as he is very thorough and does things to his knives that I would not and has taken several knives past their limits. After all, how can you know what the limits are if you don't exceed them.

BTW, who is Kysa?

Questions best left unasked:

#1 Who is Kysa?

#2 Which is better, Mad Dag or Busse?

#3 So what`s so great about the Sebenza anyways?

Answer to Question #3

Ah Grasshopper,,,
After reading all posts concerning Sebenzas, if you find you must ask the question, you would not understand the answer.

I always check The Knife Exchange category. It's always good to know w/c dealers have the best prices on the net.

Knives For Sale and who's who to avoid in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly business.

Tactics & training if your into self defense and survival.

And of course, Blade Discussion forum. Lot's of info to read.

Coug, that was out of line and unacceptable guy, you should know better. What your post has to do with this thread is beyond me, and such an attack does not belong...
