Hey all,
Wanted to know by those who have been able to handle them, which you prefer and why?
1. D-9
2. Ajax
3. MSC 6.5/7.5
I have only seen pictures and wanted to find out more about these blades before spending a paycheck on them.
Thanks in advance,
Wesley

I am biased, the blade design is very much what I am accustomed to in balance and size. The weight of the Strider is a little more than my previous blade but it is welcomed.

This poll isn't for me because I've only handled the MSC 6.5, but I had to pipe in here to say that knife is without question the coolest looking and best performing knife I've used. And I've used a lot of knives. FYI...

I can only offer a vote for a D-9 as that is the only custom Strider that I have but the thing is awsome. I am working hard to get a MSC 6.5 right now.

I have an MSC 7.5. Before I bought it I handled the D-9 at a knife show, but I did not handle the AJAX. I preferred the lines of the MSC and I liked the taper of the grip and the angled guard. I have had a Randall model 14 for about 20 years, and the D-9 was very close to it in feel. So I wanted something different. The MSC fit the bill. I don't know about the rest of the MSC 7.5s, but my blade is closer to 8" than 7.5". The spine is sharpened several inches. All in all, it has a very good feel to it and exudes "mankiller." I might be wrong here, but I think it might be a little lighter than the D-9.

Thanks for the info!
Decided on the D-9 now, with a little persuasion from Vinnie (thanks by the way).
Will definitely keep my eye out for a MSC 6.5.
Wesley
