Poltava Metallic Bonded Diamond stone.

I recently placed an order with Gritomatic for some Venev diamond stones and also got a Poltava Metallic bonded 150 grit diamond stone to try out and see how it worked on S110v and how fast it would sharpen it.

I must say it made fairly short of the S110 and cut about the same speed as a Venev 150 grit,the Poltava stone left a nice scratch pattern and seemed to leave a bit smoother of an edge without as many burr's as the Venev stone,as far as the wear rate of the Poltava metallic bonded stone it seem to be really slow and should last a very very long time even though it's only 3mm thick.

If anyone is looking for a fast cutting long wearing stone to tackle tuff to sharpen steels like S110v this would be a good choice.

The Venev diamond stones are really good stones for cutting steels like A110v very fast and I really them because they do the job in a fraction of the time as compared to other stones.
