So I'm making progress,

Sheaths are going to be a little slow though because I found all the glue and dye had frozen over, no idea what that'll look like once it's thawed but i brought it inside to find out ;)

Thanks Andy I'm trying.

I've had some messages about them but its rebeccas birthday so I won't be able to get back with everyone till tomorrow.

Quickly the bocote is what I traded for my new iris sheath the others will be posted for sale as soon as I have them finished. Thanks everyone!

Well I just spent a fruitless evening trying to get sheaths in order, I have them cut and dyed, spent the time on that because my leather glue just didn't survive the unfreezing process :( I don't use it for much but holding things together while I mark and sow it up but it's not easy to get it done right with my (lack of)_ leather skill without it.

Still, at least their ready when I'm able to get some better and unfrozen glue.

In the mean time I put several more layers of linseed oil on the scales, made some beads and lanyards and got the Bocote ready to go to Darkmater in trade for my iris knife sheath.

I'll try and snap some more pictures of them tomorrow to give us all something to look at.

Also it started snowing again tonight, ;s a little crazy, even for Kentucky weather. Works called off again for tomorrow, winter might have spent most of it's time whimpering but ti's going out like a roar.

So here's a question for you all. I'm still doing these as a hobby so I haven't given enough thought to it as a business.

The plan is always to finish all the blanks then the post them for sale. But I have been getting emails in advance of them all being ready and I've just been selling them that way in a first email first serve kind of way.

Is this wrong? Does this piss anyone off or make anyone miss out on them because they were waiting?

I basically have a standing order of 5 blanks a month with john and if someone emails me with a scale material they want I do it and they get first chance to buy before the sale. Good?

Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated. Remember I'm not a 'knife maker' and getting them done well and sold so I can afford the next batch of materials is my real goal.

Thanks

Edit: be a use my SPG was all over the place :)

You might want to try finding a price equilibrium. By slowly raising your price until demand matches supply

Try taking preorders. It seldom works for me (except the EO1 Series), but might for you. Start a thread showing all the styles you offer and see what happens.

Don't' think I can, tried that with the Pocket knives and got a forum warning. May be I should pony up for a knifemakers membership just so I can do that here.

Write it up and email it to me. Since we are partners in these, I can do a preorder. There are other makers that do not do all the work themselves.

It's not up and running yet but I'm blurry-eyed from trying to figure it out

any suggestions? the pictures are coming out really small, think i might have to upload them from direct instead of from the saved versions of the ones on the internet.
Link removed so I don't get . Trouble.
