  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

First time making a pocket...

All magnetic closers on the flap and pocket. Drawstring bag in the pocket makes it easy to get organized.
The case hold 2 butts and 4 shafts so it was a big canvas to work on.

Previously I had asked about applying dye on wet, soaking wet or dry leather.
After much experimentation (built the pocket 3 times and the flap twice) I settled on slightly damp leather for the first coat and dry for the second.
I applied the russet dye with a paper towel in a circular 'scrubbing' motion.
The russet stayed light and it has a nice look, pretty even but not 'dipped' even. I thought it went well with the antiquing.

Thanks for looking :)

Very nice indeed! Well done! :D

Wow thats cool. Glad those magnets and the dyeing worked out.

Thank you. It was a ton of work but when it is all done, it's worth it....
On to next project...

I may have to buy a knife to make a sheath ;)
