Poor Man’s 113

Been hankering for a 113 but didn’t want it $80 worth. I researched and found the 684, bare bones with very similar dimensions…$25.

Did not know the dimensions were so similar. I love the 684! I really haven't had a chance to put it to serious task but I would consider it's size, shape and over all feel as ideal.

The 684 and 685 are both great knives.
I keep them in my vehicles.
The rubber handles and nylon sheaths are very user friendly.

They are similar, but I like the 684 better, it has more belly, and a better plunge line.

Haven't tried the 684 yet, but I have used the 673 on whitetail and performed well. For the price, I think I might toss in a 684 the next time I place and order from Buck.

I'm sure the 684 is a great knife ( owned and gifted a few of the 673 that it replaced) but the 113 ranger is definitely nicer
I like look feel and grind more, on pure function though the small Bucklite max is a much better unbeatable value.

I have one as well. Love the knife, hate the spongey sheath, ha ha. A good candidate for a nice kydex sheath.
