do you guys have any ideas on makeshift kydex? making my own karambit and i need ideas for a sheath material.

I don't have much money (about $20) and I live overseas (not USA).I want to keep costs low as possible.
I heard of someone using plastic from a milk jug. Would that work?

In the US, most of the leather craft supply stores now stock Kydex also. May be the case where you live also. Worth checking out. Guessing from memory, I think they run around US$10 for a 12"x12" sheet around here.

There is a world wide diary system called "Day Timers" but I am sure there are many generic versions. The Day Timers comes with a black plastic page divider which I have used as a sheath/holder material.
It is very forgiving and you can go again if you stuff it up the first time - I just used a heat gun ( the sort you would use as a paint stripper) to heat it. but an oven would work.
Possibly a 'Office Supply' shop in your area would have something similar sold as a single item rather than buying a whole Diary

I`ve made sheaths for my Filipino bolos using black pvc drain pipe 2 " heat in oven at 350 for 5min or less, use moist wood board underneath so wire rack doesn't mess it up then you can decorate with paracord
