"poor mans wave"

One day a long time ago I was driving in my Pinzgauer (xSwiss army truck btw) and needed to open a particularly stubborn package. I reached down to grab my folder from my pants where it was clipped and as I pulled out in that crunched seated position the thumb stud caught my trousers and as I pulled it out the blade conveniently opened for me.

I remember thinking to myself at the time, "now that would be an interesting idea or invention if you could make that happen like that when you wanted it to." Shortly after that Emerson started making the "Wave". I've always wondered if something similar didn't occur with one of his knives that caused the light bulb to go off for the idea.

I use to do the same with my Beretta Busfield. Problem is, with the thumb stud on the Beretta, it wears the pocket fast.

Now my Endura has clip ties on da hole. Works great.

For WHAT....I don't know yet, but it does work.

Goofy damn knives.
