I convinced a friend to let me try to fix up his old uncared for Benchmade/Emersons since they arent too common nowadays. One is a spec War Model CQC7 and the other one doesnt have a model number but is an out the side switchblade. Anybody know when about these were made? The last 2 pics are after I cleaned and sharpened them.

Awesome, love to see em when they are "brought back to life" . I have never seen one of those autos either. Steve

I'm assuming they were made as Mr. Emerson was becoming a major name in the business, but I could be wrong. They are both very good knives and the switchblade spring still shoots the blade out with some force. I have never handled ATS34 before, but it was some pretty tough stuff to sharpen even with a diamond sharpener. There was a 1/2" flattened spot on the blade edge of the auto that required a lot of metal removal to even it out.

if its the 4" blade CQC7 the auto is a model 9750 IIRC, the 3.5" blade model has slipped my mind but its the same as the std mod w/a '0' added IIRC.
