Very rare that I have one of these like this but I had this one already started sitting out there in the shop from a while back and just took it to the next level today when in the shop. It is ready to bolt right on to someone's existing frame work. So if you are wanting a .160 thickness frame lock conversion for your CQC13 here ya go. Included with this is my replacement custom made hardened stainless stop pin that is secured down by a hidden screw under the G10 non lock side once the knife is assembled. The button head screw hides on one side and a matching black "Emerson Looking" flat head 4-40 phillips screw is on the visible side a/k/a on the lock side.

The same perceived benefit of the floating stop pin can be achieved with this new one by an occasional half turn clockwise on the phillips head side to make noise and it can be rotated without changing the tightness of the screws due to how I custom fit it, this so the blade hits a fresh spot on the pin. This is no different than many other quality made folders with a secured stop pin. The new pin can't move side to side and it can't squeeze in on the liners to affect pivot tension. Basically the two screws tighten down on the barrel itself to create a rattle free pin for you. I did this after a number of folks sent me their factory knives to eliminate the rattle even if it meant a new longer fitting pin like the old one on their Emerson. This also after numerous contacts asking me to come up with something to add on to my frame lock conversions.

Also enclosed will be 6 new black 2-56 phillips head screws. These are just like the factory screws other than being slightly longer. Factory are 3/8" these are 1/2". The factory ones will work for the lock but these fit a bit better and I included extra in case they are needed. They can be shortened if need be for another Emerson too for that matter.

Cost is $160 plus $4.80 to ship it Priority mail add 4% for pay pal users and also if you are outside the country be aware the shipping will be based on what it costs to ship it International Priority Mail. Pay Pal address can be found in my work order form in the sticky post titled "Read this if you need to mail me work" or my "Low Rider Clip and mail instruction" sticky. Top the page here on page one.

Thanks for looking. First I'll take it gets it.

Looks great, I even like how you left your makers mark on the inside of it , it's a good thing for my wallet that I don't own a CQC 13 though, otherwise that would be extremely tempting.

Thanks. I do that with my sig. on most all of them. Some have been stamped in other places but these days I put them all in that same spot on the Emersons.

I actually figured I'd get a 13 myself eventually since its my pref over the 12 but I've lost interest in doing that now and decided to just finish this one out and sell it.

Nope. I gave the CQC45 to my son for his 29th birthday after ridding it of the dirt brown scales and putting textured carbon fiber scales on it in their place. (see my blog link bottom left) Oh and I wiped all the burn marks and laser cut lines off the liners too which cleaned it up quite a bit. Honestly, I bought that originally intending to give it to Brandon.

I say you got it lookin' good now, especially with CF scales on it .

Edit: Just checked the blog and wow those handles were a major improvement on the overall looks of the knife.

Thanks. Honestly I felt for what that knife was packaged with (the 1911 custom handgun by Les Baer) that it should have had a much much better fit and finish on it. I was quite disgusted with the burn marks, indenting and laser lines evident on the folder liners for the estimated value I placed on it as a 1/3rd of the package price. I paid $782 for that knife thinking it was a custom and found out that although Ernie said in the write up, "this package comes with one of the best knives I've ever built", the fact is my assuming from that that it was a custom built by Ernie cost me some labor and even the folks at EKI told me it was a custom when I called to ask. When I realized it not only had standard production liners but really bad looking ones I was not pleased with it at all. I was not about to give it to Brandon that way. Quite honestly if it had not been part of the package and had been one I bought separate by itself I'd have sent it back for a full refund. I kid you not when I tell you my $117 ebay CQC7A non waved folder has a better fit and finish than this 45 did. You can see in my blog that quite obviously the CQC12 shown with it also had a much better finish. Well, not now of course since I've since fixed all that. :D

Seriously, I've tolerated Emersons and their crappy finish for a long time but on that particular folder I found it particularly distasteful being that it was supposed to be in the same league as a Les Baer custom 1911. I have owned handguns done by Less. It was not in the same league.

is this still available? I'll take it if it is. I guess I'll just buy a 13 instead of pimping the 10, lol.

It is still available yes.

You have my email. That is my pay pal as well. I just mailed to Canada last week for something similar and its $10.40 to mail there. I looked it up.

$160 plus $10.40 plus 4% for the pay pal fee comes to $178 shipped out. Make it an even $175 and we'll square up, and I'll pack this up and ship it out to you today. Thanks

By the way. The 13 is one of my all time faves when set up this way. It will blow your socks off!

Paypal sent - I meant to ask if the shipping includes insurance actually. I've had Canada Post lose a couple things this year(luckily they were cheap items), but I wouldn't want them to lose this one. I can pay extra if it'll cost more for insurance, let me know.

Actually I don't recall seeing an option to get insurance for Priority International. I think if I'm not mistaken they will only let me do that if I use Express but I do have the label printed and the item packed ready to drop off at the post office. I'll check when I go in to see if it could be added even though I've already printed the label. Honestly postal insurance has been a waste of money for me and anyone else thats ever used it that I know and then needed it later. They've never paid me back for stuff by finding some loop hole every time. I will check though.

I just sent you an email also. What I'll do is check into signature confirmation if I can't insure it.
