I remember somene say the last one isnt a Jaguar. Doesn't someone else make the Benchmade 259, except Jaguar? Isaw one on ebay a long time ago, and the guy said it says China on it.

No, I know it wasn't a Jaguar. It was the biggest POS that I have ever seen. Not even worth the pot metal it was molded from.

I have made several orders from Popular Link in the past, and there were no real problems.

The top two balisongs in your link that they call "Jaguar brand butterflies", actually has "Jaguar" and some other words stamped on the tang. I have a couple of these, and I find them to be pretty nice. I like them better than the usual rostfrei cheapies.

As for the flame blade... (they call it a kriss) ...this thing is a piece of trash, and not a Jaguar. I believe it has something like "Haller Rostfrei" stamped on the tang.

The last balisong which looks like the regular Jaguar balisongs we see in stores with the Jaguar pouncing on the tang... It looks very similar to the real Jag, but I doubt that it is. I can't see the tang marks, but from the picture, the handles are silver, not gold.. therefore, I conclude that they are not the same as the 'usual' ones. Although these balis probably aren't the same 'usual' Jags, it doesn't look like the "stainless" stamped POS David was talking about; I have a couple of those.

None of these balis, although two of them have "Jaguar" stamped on the tangs, are probably related to the 'usual' Jaguars that have the Jaguar pouncing on the tangs.

I think I should mention that the only problem I've had with these guys is that one of the knives I got from them was definately not NIB, and showed signs of being used. But everything else was fine.. Most of their prices are great, and their service (at least on my order) was very good.

Another thing I feel I should mention, although I don't want this to discourage anyone from making an order with them... I noticed that they showed retail prices on a lot of their items, and I know for a fact that most, if not all, of their United Cutlery so called 'retail prices' are incorrect... and way above the real retail prices. If anyone would like examples, I can post some.. (I have some United Cutlery catalogs with the real retails in them).

That's interesting, looks like another company is using the same Jaguar name. Then again, it is simply the model name and doesn't actually have any real significance. I know for a fact that Mastercutlery only imports those 4 different models.

To me, the last one looks like a regular HC-25(259). I think they just did some trick photography to make the knife look different.

Those other "jaguars" also look like some older EDC knives. In matter of fact, EDC used to make a decent looking kris bali. Then, I guess United Cutlery discontinued the EDC bali line.

I've ordered from too and had good and prompt service.
