This post is to say thank you and reinforce how nice a place we have here in cyber space, knife heaven.
I did everything I could to try and obtain an ebony TC from the last run. I have a handful of favorite carry knives, but I've found for working around the yard, my 47 hayin helper with a sheepsfoot and pen to be my go to work knife combo. I really wanted to pick up a sheepsfoot TC in ebony to carry more regularly, around town and office. I failed to get one, even reaching out to see if seconds might come around, nope.
A member that has been wheelin and dealin with me lately figured out that I was really wanting one and he pm'ed me to say he had a cranberry and would be happy to pass it on to me for what he purchased the knife for. How often does that happen with a TC? I thought hard and felt I couldn't do it because I was really set on an ebony. I replied such, but he was ok with the fact and understood that if an ebony came along his good gesture would turn into a trade.
Not a couple of days later, this same member had a friend looking for a cranberry, that had an ebony and would possibly be Interested in trading. He set up the two of us and it worked out as well. The stars must have lined up for me. Anyhow, I now have an ebony sheepsfoot TC Barlow, that I was unable to buy from dealer stock and I paid the the original sale price, thanks to two very thoughtful members. My thanks to
