Ah you lucky bastids. That's living large right there. Thanks for posting.

These "bathtubs" are really neat formations.

That looks like an incredible trip! Would love to do something like that sometime. Thanks for sharing.

It was an amazing trip. I've been there before, but we got to see more of the park that I haven't seen before. If anyone is close to the UP I recomend it, so far one of my favorite parks!

We were there on Sunday..I'm sure we didn't pass each other ,I was on 2 wheels you were on 2 feet...
You have to get off the beaten trail like you did to really enjoy the Porkies..
We did checkout the 3 funny named waterfalls and Superior lake shore that you have pic's of

Where did you start the hike? I'm probably a little closer to it than you are, and am starting to plan my hikes for next summer already.

Nice bear sighting. I saw a mountain lion the other day in my neck of the woods. That is one big lake. Looks like a cool part of the country thanks for sharing.

Did you hike Up the escarpment trail. That is a butt kicker for sure! I love the porkies, My trip to Isle Royal was amazing. I can't wait to take my wife and kid(s) someday. Government Peak is pretty sweet, when we hiked it there was bear scat everywhere. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Wife and I have been talking about going to the UP. This makes me wanna go even more. Looks like an awesome time.

The overnight hike was government peak(I will look at my map when I get home and figure out exact trails). We did most of the escarpment trail as well. All the trails in the park are pretty amazing though.

Lake in the Clouds is one of the prettiest places in all the United States. Did you guys walk the trail thru the Old Growth forest? I think it's on the East side of the park.

amazing pics. looks like you guys had a great time. love the pic of the 5. thanks for sharing.
