We made some tacos for the ganzza short and the American Butaniku.
the new ganzza short is an inch shorter than the first one that came into the shop. The original shorts must have been sawed off butanikus, and it looks like the ganzza version is it's own new model. maybe someone from Busse will chime in and let us know :)

for now Enjoy the pics!!

Thanks for looking!

I just picked up a tglb sheath yesterday that you sent to the UK for me. Very impressive work, I don't think I'll ever be looking elsewhere for kydex work.

I also noticed that the ganza shorts don't have the fuller going right to the tip of the blade like previous shorts.

I would like to know how the ganza version handles. I just asked to change the handles on mine to G10, as I thought that would help keep the balance point close to the guard. Hope the blade length is consistent with the specs given out for the ganza - i.e. 24"

Also, do you think the ganza shorts are consistent enough to order a sheath made from someone else's blade? I worry that the tolerances would need to be very tight on a blade that long and thin to ensure a consistent fit of the sheath.

You mean there two size of short butaniku?
Yes I've seen 2 different variations.

The ganzaa model, or maybe the new version, feels really nice like the first ones. I wouldn't have noticed it to be sorter, but I saved the spacer I used on the first short, and had to cut an inch off to fit it on the ganzaa model.

I think a sheath from the like model would work fine. The new ganzaa model fits in the original models sheath, so only the length and the fuller stopping short are the differences I saw. But the original will not fit in a ganzaa models sheath.

Thank You all for the kind words:)
Now I gotta figure out how to tell my wife that we Need one;)
