one of my mom's recipes, goes good with cucumber salad.

Shish Kabob

1 lb Tri Tips cubed
1 tblsp ground onion
1/2 tsp ginger
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp tumeric
1 1/2 tsp ground chilies*
1/2 tsp garlic
1 tblsp lemon juice
2 tblsp mustard powder

* like the kind you put on pizza, but when doubling or tripling meat don't double or triple this unless you like really hot food, I used 1 tblsp for 6 lbs of meat.

Blend condiments, mix with meat, if necessary add a lil water so it makes a very thick marinade. Let stand for at least 3 hours and toss every 15 minutes. Spit meat on skewers, BBQ basting with the leftover marinade and butter.

Use busse knife while eating for best effect.

Yummy!!

I hooked my family up on some thick Rib Eyes marinated for 5 hours in Yoshida's Teriyaki and some "Surf" to go with it.

10 scallops
10 Tiger Prawns

Marinated in:
Olive Oil
Lemon Juice
Minced Garlic
Marie Sharps Hot Sauce w/ Orange Pulp
Parsley Flakes

Glorious Meat!!

Tri tip may not as popular all over the country as it is in some places. First time I ever heard of it came in from California. Sure looks good on your grill!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I typically use Yoshidas Gourmet Marinade, then rub down with pepper, garlic powder and onion salt. Baste with more Yoshidas and sear, before turning heat way down. I have to try some combo with ground chiles and mustard now.
Another thing I've grown addicted to is Costcos Steak and Seafood Rubs. That stuff is da bomb. The seafood rub on thick pork steaks is a real winner around my place.
