Here's a pic of a gate start in a different race.

1 (blue) and 3 (yellow) busted out like nobody's business, but I'll bet they fade before the final turn. Poor 5 (green) appears to have stumbled and unless he has hooves like Seabiscuit, he's out of this one.

My money's on the dark horse 4 in this one. He's obviously going to cut inside and then turn on the hog burners.
