Portaband problems

I have a HF portaband and the blade is all of a sudden coming off the lower wheel and jamming. Has anybody had this issue and... how to fix (other than buy a good saw)? I'm gonna look into replacement wheels.... I've heard something about an upgrade to metal wheels.

I would check to see if the lower (or upper) wheel wobbles on its bearings. If the problem started suddenly but it was working right before then it could be a bad bearing or loose wheel/tension nut/etc.
The blade could also be bent or twisted which can cause problems like this, if you don't find any play in the wheels I would check this next. Eliminate as many variables as possible before tearing it down very far, the problem could be very simple.
