Has anyone ever done a Tool Arm mounted Portaband table? IE take the portaband table (like a SWAG V1) and put it on a tool arm bar to put into the 2x72 grinder slot? It may need to be a few inches wider than the SWAG table so it is far enough away from the tool arm/frame to clear?

I saw a guy that did a portaband table that attached to the side of his workbench.

Don't laugh, it actually works! $10 cheap poly cutting board, $2-$3 for M5-.8mmx30mm screws, $26 for a 36x2x3/8" piece of bar stock, I used around 16" of some I had left over from another project last year. Metal bar goes under the poly cutting board table to stiffen it and mounts to the tool arm of my AmeriBrade. Going to make a metal table and set it up so I can bolt it to the tool arm bar, but for now, it works great to blank knives out from barstock! Cut out some blanks last night and some steel and angle iron for a bevel grinding jig and no issues with the heat from cutting melting the plastic table.

Looks like you did a nice job, but I don't get the point of mounting it into your 2x72? If you're trying to save bench space, I guess it makes some sense, but if I were you I'd just mount a dedicated tool arm socket somewhere else and slide it into that. That way you'll have access to both tools without having to do the swap out.

It saves shop space. I will blank out the blades and do a bunch at once, and then put the saw away until I need it again. I didn't want to pay $140 for a SWAG table, either!
